One-on-one time with my granddaughter

Last night I took my 7 year old granddaughter to DI (Deseret Industries), which is like a thrift store, but owned by the LDS Church. She is so cute as she grabs her own cart and heads straight for the shoe section. That kid loves shoes that she can play dress up with. By the way, it is funny how she is a shopaholic like her grandma...and her mother !!! And...all three of us LOVE to go to DI. I told her not to get the real high heel shoes and told her the cost limit. She can spend an hour looking and looking until she finds what she likes. Then she heads over to the toy section for awhile, then the children's book area. When I finished my favorite parts of the store which is the VHS videos, books, and a run through the back room where they have all the big miscellaneous items...we were ready to head home. By then the rain had stopped. It was funny because when we drove up to DI, it was pouring down rain hard and the exiting customers were hovering by the outside entrance of the door waiting for the rain to let up so they could get to their cars. We just got out of our car and walked (not ran) into the store...we were kind of drenched, but it was nice. I love the rain.
